ALTA ONE is a southern California based federal credit union, with primary service center locations in Bakersfield and Ridgecrest, California. Most AltaOne members reside in the Kern, Inyo, Mono and San Bernardino county areas.
AltaOne was founded in 1947 as the Naval Ordnance Test Station Federal Credit Union.
AltaOne’s historic ties to the military led to its growth and development into a financial institution which today holds in excess of $600-million in assets and serves more than 53,000 members.
AltaOne hired a highly experienced Marketing Director to increase membership and promote all financial products. Because of this, Creative and Copy were generated very effectively internally, but Printing, Mailing Services and List Acquisition were spread between multiple vendors. This complicated project management tasks and added time to implementation and fulfilling deliverables.
Additional frustrations were being experienced because many promotions and messages were time-sensitive. The addition of time to complete deployment led AltaOne to seek a single source that could facilitate all Print, Direct Mail production and List acquisition for all marketing programs to improve efficiencies and costs.
Mail Manager Inc was able to manage all services required under one roof with a single source contact. As a list broker with over 28 years experience, Mail Manager was able to source very effective new prospect lists for any acquisition campaigns client wanted to deploy.
Mail Manager provided all final print and mail services with very efficient turnaround speed and sought delivery of final mail to Post Offices that increased speed of delivery and reduction of postage expenses. Since 2014, AltaOne Federal Credit Union has continued to look to Mail Manager as the one facility that can handle all aspects of their Direct Mail projects.
The AltaOne projects require special attention to maintaining the security and integrity of the information provided. The data provided by the client includes existing depositors and an acquisition market of potential depositors. The requirements to eliminate duplication and removal of specific data requires a high level of security and accuracy in postal processing.
Mail Manager handled the data for postal automation and presort discounts including duplication elimination. All data was cleansed and checked against multiple USPS databases (Coding Accuracy Support System – CASS and the National Change of Address – NCOA) database to verify addresses and eliminate duplicates.
In addition, Mail Manager Inc. has its own proprietary software tracking program. This enables us to verify delivery of mailings down to a household level. As a result, our clients enjoy additional benefits and capabilities. For example, knowing exactly when to schedule and implement campaign follow-up efforts such as eMail marketing and telephone marketing to maximize lead generation, campaign analysis, registration, sign-ups and more.
By contracting with Mail Manager, AltaOne achieved the following:

The AltaOne Marketing Department was able to redirect internal resources and energy toward program development and have confidence that whatever they wanted to produce in Print and Mail would be implemented and managed to professional expectations. By doing so, AltaOne was able to reallocate essential resources and devote them to sales and revenue-generating efforts, inclusive of new member recruitment and increased, upselling efforts for existing products and services with existing members of AltaOne.
